From Beirut to New York<\/h2>\n

Last summer, I took a vacation\u00a0and traveled from Beirut to New York City<\/a>. While the trip provided a much needed time out, the blow of coming back to everyday life in Beirut weighed on me.<\/p>\n

My post-vacation blues got\u00a0me wondering what makes certain cities more desirable than\u00a0others.<\/p>\n

Unexpectedly, I started noticing similarities between these highly incompatible cities: Beirut and New York City. Some elements that we are willing to travel across the world to experience are present right here, yet somehow we devalue them or forget about them.<\/p>\n

After deliberation, the list of similarities grew longer. Next thing I knew, I was turning these ideas into illustrations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’m currently putting the finishing touches to the book, which should go to print next week! I’ll be sharing details very soon about the book launching event.<\/p>\n
