The person who comes up with the best solution will win … (you guessed it) an iPad*! That’s the only idea for a gift that brands seem to have these days. So that was my parking nag for today. Now, Bob Dylan has something to sing for you. Enjoy and have a lovely day! 🙂

And to think… that our Minister of Public Works Ghazi Aridi answered ‘Right’ to the above! *Facepalm* If I were in charge I’d sentence him to a couple of hours of ‘Torture by traffic‘. Because of his decision, it took me 90 minutes to cross a road that would otherwise take 15 minutes. For more info check out Blog Baladi‘s comment on this.

But anyway, here’s a sweeter tone on the ears. Enjoy and have a beautiful day! 🙂

We love the tourists that visit our beloved Lebanon in the summer… but when they bring their own cars with them they become less tourists and more traffic causes––not to mention they don’t help the economy that much either by bringing their own cars and spending less on transportation. It’s been very, very hard dealing with this. In all cases, have a lovely week and stay tuned for a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow 😉

Here’s a nice song for you:

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments you guys sent me yesterday! You made my day with your support, as usual! I guess I underestimated the power of making a change in your life routine. It’s beautiful. Just like this cover by Brad Mehldau of Nick Drake’s Things Behind the Sun. Enjoy, and have a lovely day! 🙂

It’s here! It’s Christmas fever. Christmas is in 2 days and I still didn’t get all the gifts for friends & family, and the TRAFFIC isn’t helping!!  But anyway 🙂 now is not a time to complain! It’s one of my favourite times of the year (except for the items listed above). I love the lights and the gifts and the whole spirit! Have a great day (to those of you on vacation) and to the rest of you who like me have to work until the 25th… GOOD LUCK 🙂

Now if this gets boring, you can push the challenge to level 2 by combining Y.A.S.’ song in the background “wa7ad, tnein, tleteh, arb3a, setteh, tna3sh, setteh, tna3sh… (it can get really confusing!) Yea so I have really exhausted all the possible ways of passing time in traffic, and yesterday evening, from Beirut to Jounieh, was HELL! Hope the weekend will make it up. Have a lovely weekend all 🙂

I know Jounieh very well and therefore don’t need road signs to know directions. But let’s suppose someone is in Lebanon for the first time, and needs to know whether this road is the highway, or an exit, or a bridge, or a closed road. How can they know? As I was stuck in traffic yesterday, I noticed for the first time a small shy sign saying that the highway ends here on the zouk turn. Poor, poor sign! No one will ever see it behind all the ‘laser epilation’ and ‘super night clubs’ signs! There should be SERIOUS quotas for promotional signage… Or at least some sense of structure… Let’s hope this will happen one day! 🙂
