I guess that I’ve been feeling in dire need of more and more time everyday to finish all the things I want to do. So I decided to make the most of all those hours wasted everyday because of glitches in our daily life! I won’t comment about that I’m slow in posting, because a blog is just like a person, sometimes just too busy, sometimes too moody to post every other day, so I hope you understand! 🙂

And here’s the positivity-spreading, day-brightening ‘Here Comes The Sun’ by the Beatles–can’t get enough of this song! Have a lovely day 🙂

  • Parking Ticket Sticker – update

    UPDATE:

The parking ticket sticker made it to the newspaper this morning! 😀 You can read it in today”s issue of Al Akhbar.

    _ _ _ _ _

I”ve been getting A LOT of parking tickets around Beirut. So I thought that I might as well be courteous with the policemen working hard on adding the tickets. So I created those stickers!

    In English:

In Arabic: [I guess the darakeh will understand this better]

And because I love you all so much, I”ve uploaded the PDFs for you to download, print, and add to your cars!

"What? At least it's less noisy and less polluting than scooters and motorcycles!"

The highway I’m mostly referring to here is the part between Dbayeh & Jounieh. If you’ve passed there after the rain, you might’ve noticed how the left lane is empty of cars all the time. I rushed to it (when I saw it empty) only to find my car starting to drown in water. So I decided to find a solution to this issue! And here you are.

With this, I wish you all a great Monday. Here’s some jazzy reggae to cheer up your week start: it’s from an Australian band, called “The Cat Empire”. Enjoy! 🙂 Protons, Neutrons, Electrons ~ The Cat Empire (if you like them check out their other songs: Two Shoes, Lullaby & The Wine Song – Can’t upload them all with my beautiful connection)

By the way: I fixed the RSS feed issue, let me know if any of you still face problems subscribing to this new link. I’m also starting to fill up the “Alt” tag of images properly for visually impaired people to be able to read the comics (as it has been noted to me on Twitter that visually impaired people aren’t  able to read the comics.

No matter what I do, I can’t seem to learn the exact limits of my car! And because 5 years ago a parking attendant told me to go back, and I trusted him and went back and ended up hitting the car behind me, I don’t ever trust parking attendants. But I know I need to work on this distance optical thing. Now I’m not sure if defining the car limits is really related to gender, but at least I’m fully aware that I do NOT know the limits of my car. 🙂 And here’s a nice song to brighten up your Monday (More Than Words, Extreme), Enjoy! 🙂

(I MIGHT be slow in posting during this week because I have sooooo much to do [lecture+workshop-CC presentation-CCF exhibition- work], so please forgive me, I promise you’ll be on my mind all the time!) So here’s another song to express the situation I’m in (Under Pressure, Queen & David Bowie)

Just when I thought I had enough problems for one day! Sometimes I’m glad I’m not armed, because I would’ve had an appropriate answer to the “ma twekhzina danzelle” when Lello got to his car. I can’t stand it when visitors of the building block the way out for other cars, I’ve been through this countless times! Anyway, I wish you all a beautiful autumnal day! 🙂

I guess it’s easier to let time fade the colors away from the posters until they’re not visible anymore. Really awkward to have christmassy decoration in the middle of august’s killer-heat! Please someone remove the christmas decoration until December! Anyway… I should go back to the preps for the big day!!! Hope to see you all there ^^

Just another example of modern slavery… I stood there for a whole minute not believing what i had just seen! The woman left the car forgetting about the maid. When I saw the man who was driving making signs to her that she forgot something, I directly thought it was a suitcase, until I saw the maid hop out the trunk, and the woman laughing that she forgot her. I won’t tell you how I eventually got out of this labyrinth, but I clearly did because I’m telling you the story  right now… And as a conclusion, the following points need to be made: Marina area in Dbayeh needs SERIOUS re-designing. It took me exactly 32 min to get out of it and take the highway. At night the lighting is so weak you can barely see the parked, turned-off cars (which also explains the great amount of tragic car accidents that unfortunately happen there regularly, now I know why!).

As a side note, to those of you who recognized my badly drawn Jack Nicholson character from the shining: Respect! 😉
