Those beautiful billboards ALL OVA THE STREETS have been haunting me! Are there people who REALLY enjoy going to ‘OSCAR PALACE’ to watch Marimar & Toufic Abdo singing and dancing for 800-2000$ per person? Well maybe there is, but please stop those New-year-style badly photoshopped billboards! So my darlings, this is my last post for 2009. It was an amazing year, and I hope that 2010 will only be better for all of you. Enjoy your eves and don’t get too drunk you don’t want to start your next year with a headache! 🙂 See you next year!!! Love you all!! 🙂

I noticed something that perplexed me on my way home. A huge billboard of a Lebanese singer that I remember from my early childhood. She still looks exactly the same (if not younger!). I linked it to a statement that a friend of mine had made earlier during the day: when we see a young person we haven’t seen in a while, and that we remember as a kid, and then (s)he suddenly is a grown-up.  I guess the reverse phenomenon happens with singers.

In case you were on another planet yesterday, I would like to re-announce that the launching of the book will take place on August 12th, 2009, at Art Lounge at 6:30 PM. You can click here to join the Facebook event. See you there ^^

Poor Lebanese women, they are going through a terrible identity crisis… They are given a new perspective to the question “who am i” everyday! They don’t know if they’re pretty, equal (to we don’t know what, maybe to the pretty one), or simply sex objects using temptation as the only way to get attention… I mean slowly with the billboards.. And why do you feel that you have to answer every single billboard that is printed? Some questions are better left unanswered you know…Anyway the above was simply my “real-life” interpretation of this endless stupid billboard war.

I spent a good 2 hours in the traffic this morning from ashrafieh to jounieh… This gave me time to deeply contemplate the latest addition to our dear smart lebanese elections slogans… I think there14 i am… Am i missing something? Because I didn”t get it… When will this elections nightmare be over?

I’m sure all of you who have driven by the Lebanese Highway have noticed the latest political campaign. Well I guess these campaigns have really been targeting – EVERYONE – lately, and by that I mean all levels of IQ, all ages. No brain challenging whatsoever, simple brainwashing-take-you-by-the hand and ‘feed-you-with-a spoon’ messages. I personally felt quite offended to see the exaggerated level of simplicity in the messages of the latest campaign. What do they take us for? If only they invested all those wasted billboards money in teaching the citizens more profitable values – but it’s probably our job to do that.
