Yes this is a true story. Happened today on my way home after an endless day of work and meetings… It’s really ironic how we lose evident objects that are in our hands or that we just placed in front of our eyes. This little detail shows how much we can be missing from things happening around us, while ‘mentally’ focused on other issues. Sad reality, the human brain.
What am I supposed to do to keep a constantly normal room temperature? It’s not working with me lately. I don’t know if it’s from the AC or from me…
On a side note, I want to congratulate my friend KRYSTIAN (yes, written wrong like this 🙂 ) because today is the day he knew he got accepted for masters in his dream college! Mabrouk Kry you deserve the best!!
And it’s always the same neighbour! I need to change my leaving time in the morning…. Or I need to get a full-option luggage for daily use!
P.S. I might be a bit slower in posting this week, I am sooo overloaded with work. I really want to keep you updated, but please don’t make me feel bad if I don’t post for one day.. you need to understand the pressures of daily life ! Doesn’t mean I love you less 😉 !! Have a lovely day 🙂
I know it’s hard, but I’m sticking to my decision. I mean how hard can it be? One week of sleepiness and then that’s it. You’re free from the addiction. Anyway I’ll keep you updated if the experiment succeeds, or if I drink coffee again tomorrow morning 🙂
I’ve had SO MUCH work lately that I’m only spending time with my laptop! I miss humans, I miss real communication… This has to stop… In the hope that this week will be more relaxed.. Have a nice monday! (what a paradox, is that even possible? 😛 )

Today, Sunday May 3rd, was the yearly walk organized by Al Younbouh to support children and people with special needs, and help them integrate more efficiently in the society. Nour and I participated, and enjoyed it. This post is dedicated to all the people with special needs, starting with my sister Nour: I love you all, you make our world better and make our life worth living. If only more money was invested in helping them develop their wonderful skills, instead of those useless pieces of cardboard used to promote old fat politicians…

I won’t tell you how I eventually got out of this labyrinth, but I clearly did because I’m telling you the story right now… And as a conclusion, the following points need to be made: Marina area in Dbayeh needs SERIOUS re-designing. It took me exactly 32 min to get out of it and take the highway. At night the lighting is so weak you can barely see the parked, turned-off cars (which also explains the great amount of tragic car accidents that unfortunately happen there regularly, now I know why!).
As a side note, to those of you who recognized my badly drawn Jack Nicholson character from the shining: Respect! 😉
I have a pretty bad history (and luck) with ATMs. Today was the pinnacle. I went to three ATMs in a row, at a time where I badly needed money to pay for the gasoline, otherwise my car would stop in place and I would be late to the (going-to-be-boring) meeting, and not one was working properly, and I don’t think there were other ATMs in the region. Hope you have a lovely day for a change! 😀
And the heel strikes again, and much stronger this time! I love the countryside, and its natural aspect, and was planning to have a rather ‘sporty’ week-end until my mom surprised me with the so-dreaded pair of high-heels, which according to the present family members, are ‘not-so-high heels’. This time I think I will take every single pair of shoes that have the slightest heel in them to caritas once and for all. There are many needy people out there who would rather have them.

As you can see, dearest fans, I will be taking a semi-vacation for the week-end, to go to my ‘origin’ town, hasbaya, in the south! But I shouldn’t be too long, so see you Monday! (by the way I’m kind of scared because strong earthquakes are expected in the area but we are still going there.. yes stupid I know).
Lately this has been my daily ‘welcome-home’. I don’t know if it is a matter of luck or coincidence, but things always go in the opposite way. On other days I go out of the car with the door key ready to be used, and I find Mahmoud ready to open the door before me… I guess that’s what they call ‘irony’ and lately irony has been around heavily!
Getting new jazz CDs in an addiction that – unfortunately, and given that buying original CDs is one of my deepest beliefs – costs a decent amount of money. Whenever I go to a music shop and contemplate all the possibilities it just breaks my heart to the core because I know I will get out with only one or two items :'( Well, at least there’s one or two items, let’s start our day with a positive thought! 😀
