I’m not ashamed to say it, I just know how to get to Ashrafieh and Down Town Beirut. No clue what happens beyond that. However I challenged my fear of the unknown and stepped into the new territory confidently, and made it back home safely, with an ISBN 🙂 With this, I wish you all a lovely start of the week! 😀

I had so much work lately that I haven’t had the chance to spend quality time with my little sister Nour. I decided to do so this Saturday night, and it was great! Children with Down Syndrome have a tendency to bring pure happiness to people around them, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have this chance with Nour.

I still can’t believe what a story I had to wake up to this morning! The good thing is that it had a better effect in waking me up than the alarm I had already snoozed 10 times. But what I can’t understand is how our dear concierge was able to miss the car parked right in front of his door (as it is most of the days) and think that another Toyota Yaris was actually mine! I mean OK there are a lot of Yarises, but mine was in its right location all calm and waiting for me! Funny how UN-focused people can be sometimes … Keeps amazing me … With the hope that your mornings will be merrier than this one, I wish you a lovely day 😀

On my way out from the hairdresser’s I was seized by a panic shock  when I bumped into a biiiig tall lady doing mèche and coloring her eyebrows in red at the same time, whatever they call it. I observed her for a while, wondering if we placed her exactly the way she looked in another setting, such as fancy party, how beautiful would she look? Funny if you think about the process it takes to “look beautiful” …

Hope my Mom got over the shock of scrambled mafroukeh, which actually is as delicious as the normal one!  But of course it wouldn”t have worked well enough to be served to -other- people! Still it”s a proof that our opinion of food lies greatly in its design as well as in its taste. It”s not my fault if the shop didn”t specify on its packaging that it should be held horizontally 😀 Anyway, with this small lecture I wish you all a lovely week!

I was very surprised to see a young neighbour-man I never knew existed bring me my lost sunglasses back home! Not to say I always lose sunglasses that’s why I never spend more than 20,000 LL on them. But still he valued them like a priceless object and insisted on bringing them back to their owner! I must say I was very impressed by the level of gallantry… I thought those days were long done, but I guess not ! 🙂

I decided to sleep on it, but when I woke up the next day, it was still dis-functional! 🙂 So I nostalgically remembered all the times I cursed my phone and wished I could just throw it off the window. I have to admit taking it to the phone hospital gave me a day off burburry-lady phones and the such. But I also have to admit that it felt kind of empty and disconnected without it! Just got it back from the shop– uh hospital, and it’s doing much better thank u~! ;Cheers!

First. Yes I really hate shopping and I only do it to avoid going out in my PJ’s when I’m out of real clothes. I don’t get people who count it as a ‘hobby’. I once had some girls ask me as a normal topic of conversation if I think  for example that “june is a good month for shopping”. Evidently I didn’t know the answer. And whenever I go shopping I like to choose my clothes based on self-expression. I don’t care where they were made, or what is “fashionable” this time of year, of what Paris Hilton was wearing in her latest TV appearance. So as a result I also cannot stand vendors giving me their opinion about which dress makes me look thinner or which dress goes better with my skin color. And that was today’s statement.

Right after last week’s crazy lady adventure, this week-end I get ‘taxi adventure’. And because I don’t learn my lesson about how everyone knows everything in Lebanon, I had to undergo a panic attack before the driver explained to me the sequence of events that led to him knowing my family tree better than I do. I’m sure he thought I was lying, but I really don’t know my extended family tree. I can barely remember where I placed my phone 2 seconds ago, let alone remember the voting areas of every single family member of mine! I have to say the Lebanese are gifted on the memory level. Maybe that’s why they can’t get over the civil war…
