The person who comes up with the best solution will win … (you guessed it) an iPad*! That’s the only idea for a gift that brands seem to have these days. So that was my parking nag for today. Now, Bob Dylan has something to sing for you. Enjoy and have a lovely day! 🙂
* The iPad part is a joke of course.
When I started ‘researching’ the October wallpaper, I realized that there are surprisingly no days off in October! It’s also the ‘back to college’ and ‘back to school’ month. So the best consolation that came to my mind was life’s simplest pleasures: something sweet on the taste buds and sweet on the ears …

And to think… that our Minister of Public Works Ghazi Aridi answered ‘Right’ to the above! *Facepalm* If I were in charge I’d sentence him to a couple of hours of ‘Torture by traffic‘. Because of his decision, it took me 90 minutes to cross a road that would otherwise take 15 minutes. For more info check out Blog Baladi‘s comment on this.
But anyway, here’s a sweeter tone on the ears. Enjoy and have a beautiful day! 🙂
In summary, it would be GREAT if the municipalities could set a quota (and enforce it) for building construction in residential areas according to market needs and nature preservation!

If you’re around Beirut today at 6:30PM, I’ll be signing my book and participating to a debate in a pub in Gemmayze ‘Cheers & Wind‘. The debate is about: The Impact of Online Social Networking on the Lebanese Society’ followed by a Spanish light dinner for the hungry ones…
Today’s song is called Rhayader, it’s from Camel’s best masterpiece album that I LOVE: The Snow Goose. I love the flute in it, and I recommend you all to get the album 😀
Other than that, have a lovely day!

And this poetry book belongs to the lovely Pascal Uccelli, for his upcoming book L’écriture sans calmants… Poésie Body Bags - Writing without sedatives. You can read his writings on his blog. And because you guys are amazing, you will get to see a snapshot before the book is out 😉
Another project I worked on is illustrating a brochure for KAFA - Enough Violence & Explotation for their Listening & Counceling Center.
Now I know this is no excuse for posting so scarcely... Now that summer is fading away (finally!) and taking with it laziness, heat, and annoying humidity, things should be getting back on track very soon... Until then, have a beautiful weekend, and enjoy this lovely tune! 🙂 (Pat Metheny, Airstream)
Inspired by the latest irrational electricity cuts invading Lebanon... I present you, the September wallpapers!

Check out this super cool project aiming at mapping electricity cuts in Lebanon. We should all report it and have evidence at how disastrous the situation has been. And they dare publish billboards promising "24/7" electrity soon. Pfff!
