No offense to any smokers! It’s everyone’s right to want to damage his/herself. But I really hate it when I have to suffer the terrible smells of smoke, that stick to my clothes, to my hair, etc. I don’t get how a closed area can have simultaneously a smoking and a non-smoking section. I say we prohibit smoking in closed areas 😀 What do you say?

I was dreaming about how my perfect Lebanon would be. Can we survive without politicians and without the millions of lingerie billboards? Slowly I realized that what would be the perfect lebanon for me might be a nightmare for other Lebanese. Maybe it”s better to keep a mess as it is rather than complicating it more. It seems that those “problems” are so engrained in our lives that they have become an essential/constructive part. And that was the thought for today! 🙂 Have a great week!

It was a really fun thing to do, and most importantly for Lara Z to be able to shoot the concept ‘go fly a kite’ for her flickr images that you can see by clicking here. I advise you to go to Batroun before the summer is over, it’s a beautiful city. Oh and thank you all so much for the lovely suggestions you made last time about places to go in Lebanon.  I have to say I now have a long list, and will keep you all updated on the trips and adventures. Have a beautiful day! 🙂

We waited, what? 10 years for DSL! (I wasn’t even in Leb yet and hearing people talking about the arrival of DSL). Well maybe it wasn’t thought of that DSL needs electricity, and we have SERIOUS electricity problems. I don’t know if it’s summer effect, but I feel that lately rationing has become irrational! No lights at night, sometimes 12 consecutive hours of rationing and more! I hear people talking about simple solutions to the problem… Such as using the energy from the “jabal zbeleh” and such things. I hope that someone will act about it soon! Until then, I wish you a bright and happy day ! 🙂

Until last year, I didn’t know copywriting was actually a job. Cases like this menu show how CRUCIAL it is to have all kinds of text written by professionals! I was very tempted to laugh about this sentence, it can really be interpreted in cynical ways, but I’m positive that’s not how they meant it. I think they meant that they love vegetarians as much as they love eating chicken. But it still wouldn’t make sense. If you know who wrote this, please, slap them for me. With this, I wish you a beautiful bright day! 🙂 hasta mañana

I had an amazing time in Sannine! You could see Lebanon in all its width from the sea to the mountains of the Syrian borders. Lebanon has so many beautiful places to visit. It”s lovely to be the “tourist” from time to time. Especially when you live here and when you are too busy or caught up in routine to take the casino jameshallison time for such activities. Lately I am finding my tourist friends informing me about Lebanon, how shameful! This trip has motivated me to put a limit to extra work, and to make an effort to enjoy the beauties of Lebanon on a regular basis. Thank you Pascal for the motivation! 🙂

Here are some sketches I drew while picnicking in an old abandoned farm near Baskinta. (click to view in large size)

Any suggestions for beautiful places to visit in Leb?
