Today, I’m live-illustrating from ArabNet.ME conference [which is turning out AMAZING!] and I pitched my arabic web font idea at the ideathon and getting a lot of + feedback. Here are some of the illustrations I did, and you can follow them live here and here.

I was following your illustrations all day long on the live streaming page, You’ve done quit a amazing job!, And the idea you presented on the arabic font and how it’s not readable on the internet is wonderful as well, Great job, Glad we have such amazing minds here in the middle east.

[…] أما فيما يخص التصميم للوب، فهنا أعرض عليكم ما أتي ذكره في اليوم الأول من عرب نت:١- في مارثون الأفكار قدمت مايا زنقول مشروعها، أو فكرتها، وهي "عمل خط عربي" خاص بالوب، بحيث يكون سهل القراءة والاستخدام. فنحن لدينا قناعتنا أن الخطوط العربية على الوب سيئة، فهي إن بدت جيدة ومقروءة في حجم معين، لم تبدو كذلك في حجم آخر، وكثيرا ما تنقص بعض الخطوط التشكيل أو التنقيط،.. وما إلى ذلك من مشكلات تواجه الخط العربي. وإذا كنا نهتم بالمحتوى العربي على الإنترنت فمن الضروري أن نهتم بطريقة عرضه بصريا، اي نهتم بالخط العربي المقروء.. من هنا كنت من أشد المتحمسين لهذا المشروع.٢- في معرض المشاريع، قدمت نورا الفاضل عرضا طيبا لموقع "تصميم – مي" وهو موقع يسهل على الباحثين عن مصممين – من اي مجال – لتنفيذ مشاريعهم، ومن ناحية أخرى يتيح للمصميمن البحث عن مشروعات والتقدم لها.. وهو وموقع موجه لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط٣- في جلسة التجارة الإلكترونية كانت هناك تلك اللمحة الخاطفة عن أهمية تصميم واجهة مستخدم جيدة للتسهيل على المستخدم عملية التسجيل واختيار المنتج أو الخدمة ثم الدفع.٤- وأخيرا، كانت تلك التجربة الفنية لمايا زنقول، في نقل أحداث المؤتمر برسوماتها […]
