Heads or tails?

It’s a shame how politicized religious parties in Lebanon have become. Making the most of every single chance to emphasize disparities; for example, making sure every single sect has a different Eid date. In all cases, let’s look at things from the bright side: the more festivities the better, so Eid Mubarak to all of you my darlings!  Enjoy your long weekend!

PS: If you’re around Le Mall, I was asked to mention their latest campaign, and I agreed as it supports Lebanon’s Children Cancer Center, so here goes:

City of blinding lights

Inspired by the latest irrational electricity cuts invading Lebanon… I present you, the September wallpapers!

Check out this super cool project aiming at mapping electricity cuts in Lebanon. We should all report it and have evidence at how disastrous the situation has been. And they dare publish billboards promising “24/7” electrity soon. Pfff!

Here’s U2’s beautiful City of Blinding Lights. Enjoy, and have a beautiful day! 🙂

A trip to the Cedars – II

This is a sequel to this 1st part

It’s cool to relive the ‘tourist’ experience in Lebanon every once in a while. Makes you fall in love with the country all over again! I wish I had more time to elaborate… But it’s back to real life & deadlines!

In other news, I was at Virgin Megastore yesterday, and here’s what i saw!!!!!!

I should say thank you to all of you who made this happen! Amalgam 2 is #5 in Virgin Top 20, 2 weeks after the launch! Calls for a special song to celebrate 😉 Enjoy!

A trip to the Cedars – I

north lebanon cedars

To be continued tomorrow! (I have tons and tons of work these days, so will post bit by bit rather than not posting at all…)

I consider myself very lucky to have a friend like Nadine and I wish her the best for the year to come in Montreal. Now it’s back to reality with the start of another working week… Good thing we have music to give us back the good memories. We listened to this during our road trip, and I, to  certain extent, identify with the lyrics.

Enjoy, and most importantly, be yourself––no matter what they say! ♫ 😉

It’s finally the day!! See you all at Art Lounge-Karantina at 6:30PM. Can’t wait, miss you guys a lot! 😀

Here are the details again:

• Time: Starting 6:30PM

• Place: Art Lounge – Karantina – +961 3 99 76 76

See you in a while 😉 Until then, today’s theme song is…

The gods of traffic are angry

or maybe i'll just do a blog post

We love the tourists that visit our beloved Lebanon in the summer… but when they bring their own cars with them they become less tourists and more traffic causes––not to mention they don’t help the economy that much either by bringing their own cars and spending less on transportation. It’s been very, very hard dealing with this. In all cases, have a lovely week and stay tuned for a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow 😉

Here’s a nice song for you:

July Goodies [+ a b-day wish]

My lovely readers, today, I turn 24. I’d like to make a wish [that I won’t reveal so as not to spoil it] and share a piece of cake with you. Thank you so much for all your support! In the hope that this year will bring more fun, interactions and projects!

Have a lovely day 🙂

Welcome to the jungle!

Looks like ‘green‘ is the trend these days. No, not the Marada green, the other environment protection one. After UNESCO threatened to drop the Qadisha Valley from World Heritage List, the Ministry of Environment in Lebanon felt compelled to bombard us with radio ads about the preservation of Environment. Oh and I got stopped in the street by Greenpeace activists. Let’s hope all of this will last or at least give effect!

Here’s the amazing amazing ‘Fever’ sang by Peggy Lee.

Have a great weekend everyone 🙂

Internet joke

So this law is supposed to get signed tomorrow, and we have to stop it! How can you help?

Facebook page

• More info about it on SMEX website [they are working very actively to stop this law]

• Follow #stopthislaw hashtag on Twitter

• Spread the word!

• Oh and check the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications website to balance the importance/need of a new law/ vs. Internet quality and presence improvement urgency, in the 4th slowest country in the world in upload speed.

You can see previous Internet naggings I’ve done here & here.

Other than that, I wish you a beautiful week. Here’s U2’s Stuck In a Moment. Enjoy 🙂

In case you thought I was exaggerating with the swastika, check this out! Other than that, I should probably mention that I’m not a football fan [sorry guys!] but well, I always end up watching few games for the World Cup and I usually support Spain! 😀 Here’s a song for you, someone got me listening to The Beatles: Strawberry Fields Forever. Have a great week 🙂
