This is my first blog post in over 14 years! I missed posting my comics outside of social media and would like to bring the blog back. This way, we can connect without falling into a scrolling rabbit hole.

This is the story of how my upcoming book “Beirut – New York” came to be.
Last summer, I took a vacation and traveled from Beirut to New York City. While the trip provided a much needed time out, the blow of coming back to everyday life in Beirut weighed on me.

I was commissioned by The Global Journal (Geneva, NY) to illustrate an article by Ruthie Ackerman on Domestic Workers in Lebanon for their December issue. I finally received my copy in the mail, and I’m sharing the illustrations with you!
You didn’t think I could possibly let the beginning of 2011 go without a wallpaper! It’s a few days late I admit, but it’s all part of my resolutions!
