happy new year for you too maya!
Happy New Year to you too Maya. 2010 was indeed a great year, full of successes and losses.
And btw, the song says: “Lei bet2asser tannoura”… Lei and not “w hiyye”.
This clearly shows how much you’re interested in such music (Fares el a7lem, Ali el djeje, Al rakissa Sedr wala akbar …)

Happy new year Maya !
-(- can anyone translate the Lebanese parts ? :$ -)-
Fares el a7lem, Ali el djeje, Al rakissa Sedr wala akbar… translates literally to:
Knight of dreams (“Fares” = knight happens to be the name of a popular singer)
Ali the chicken (Ali is the first name of a very popular folk singer, family name “Deek” = rooster)
The belly dancer “breasts which there couldn’t be any bigger” (entirely used as a name)
Merci ktir !
