I’d like to give a BIG thank you to Toni Yammine who offered to help with the sound, making the animation much richer and more fun!!!

Here’s a sneak peek of the making of, enjoy!

I will end today’s post with a song by an ‘underground alternative’ Lebanese band from the 80′s, the Quiminboos. This song, called Behsos, is impossibly cute, authentic and funny [mostly if you understand Arabic & Lebanese accents]. It’s from the CD compilation of Lebanese alternative music, Banadoura. Have a lovely day! icon smile Add Ma Baddik! [As much as you want]

    Hey,

Very nice animation Maya, well you even have a nice voice :)

It’s really funny the way people behave :)

It’s really cute.. Its out of sync many times, which is kinda annoying.. bass 3ada hek, I really like it.

i think the voice is a little serious for the character.

@Maya, Just wanted to say that i took your advice. I decided that i’m gonna leave work and do what i’ve always wanted to do. Move to lebanon in December (gives me time to prepare)! I told work already (dats i work on projects that take years to complete, so had to tell them before they assign me new projects)…
    My family thinks i’m mental…
    I think i’m mental, but i’m doing it :)

Oh but I really like this. Châpeau.

Indeed, your voice and accent are very appropriate (much as I agree with Elie that the character’s voice in my head is squeekier), and I have always thought that an animation of your character wanted speech.

That said, I really think that the animation aspect itself in the animation is wanting. One minor turn-off is the lack of smoothness (you are working on flash I presume? If so, then smoothness should not be an issue). Another minor turn-off is the way you move from one scene to another. Enno why not simply fade things in and out? This striping disappearance is unsexy.

But the major turn-off is the lip-sync. Walaw? Towards the end it becomes a bit better, but all in all the lip-sync is minimal, in a context that is not (again, I tell you that I think that your character wants a very classical style of animation, think Pepper Ann, with very faithful lip-syncing).

All of that said, when I say that I am impressed with what I’ve seen, I mean it. Coughaaaj.

I told Lara that for some reason your comic has a different voice in my head than what you sound like. I thought i’d be the only one that thinks so but judging by the comments, apparently not!
I do really love this newest addition. It’s fun!

I hope to see you soon maya, and bon voyage!
